I haven't done much in the way of home dec sewing. A co-worker wanted me to recover her couch cushions so I agreed to try. It is always good to stretch your sewing skills and this did the trick. Putting in a zipper in the seam with fringe was definitely a challenge. The good news is I have one of my 2011 projects crossed off already.
I made two of these plaid pillows out of dupioni silk.
And I made five of these out of brocade. I hope she likes them

Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas!
My New Year's resolution was to start a sewing blog so I am starting early. What better way to start than with a post of my first Christmas quilt. It was a Crabapple Hill pattern called "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" and took me a couple years to make. I finally finished this year and couldn't be more proud of my achievement.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
