First charity quilt for the year

Yay!  I have my first quilt project completed for the year.  This quilt was made from scraps from both quilting and garment projects from 2010.  Normally, my quilt projects are from kits so I am quite pleased with the color selections on this quilt.  Our local chapter of ASG is having a UFO (unfinished object) challenge and I listed 11 projects to complete in 2011.  I can now cross one off of the list.

Turtle pillows for The Painted Turtle Camp

I have my first completed project for 2011.  I guess you could call it projects as I made four turtle pillows for The Painted Turtle Camp.  These pillows are the community service project for American Sewing Guild this year and go to the camp for seriously ill children.  Each child who attends the camp gets to take home a turtle pillow.  Our chapter is going to try to make 50 pillows this year and I agreed to make four.  They turned out so cute!  Because of storage issues, we turn in the pillows unstuffed in case you are wondering why it looks flat.
