Travel iron carrier and pressing pad

My travel iron seems to take forever to cool down to transport home from sewing events.  This folding case holds my Black and Decker travel iron and when unfolded, makes a great pressing surface.  I used two layers of Insul-Brite between the red fabric and the white canvas.

      Hi Sue,

      I used a commercial pattern for the iron caddy. The pattern is by Sisters' Common Thread and I used the Caddy Pad Jr. pattern. I included a link below for the pattern at Create for Less. There is also a pattern for a regular sized pattern available.
